Make your own prosthetics!

Post by XhuntedoverlordX »

I cleaning up my room and found this junk I made back in the 5th grade. (I hadn't cleaned up in a while.) Its this putty junk we made and after a while it hardened into a rubber-like state. I made it again just to see how long it took to harden and it only takes a few days. But the cool thing about this is that while the putty is still soft and plyable you can mold it to make prosthetics and other props, then let it harden for a few days, paint it, and you've got prosthetics!. The ingredients for the putty are water, glue, and some borox (as a bonding agent.). The borox is kind of hard to find on its own, but if you buy some 40-Mule Bleach you can use that, it contains borox. I'm going to try to make some prosthetics out of the putty, i'll post pics when i'm done.

Sorry for the double post but, I forget to mention that I just have the ingredients and not an exact recipe at the moment, from my experimenting, you can pretty much get it from the basic ingredients without instruction, but i'll try to get an exact recipe while I make some prosthetics. For the first one I try i'm either going to go with horns, or an arm or something.

Hey everyone, for a school project we're doing a play of the german version of Cinderella. For the step sisters to fit their foot into the slipper they have to cut off their heel and toe. I'm going to use this prosthetic technique to make the heel. I started last night and i'll have picks up sometime later today.

What kind of pinko, commie, liberal pantywaste school do you go to?
And why coulden't I have gone there?
I got in trouble for submiting a short story that contained the words "a**" and "cr**". :(
Anyway, definitly post your recipe and pics when your done. Sounds promising.

How much does the recipe cost? I need a scene with a lot of it......
