This title effect in Once Upon A Time In The West

Post by Chachi »

In the introduction, titles come onto the screen but they don't come from the edge of the screen... like it's as if they come up from behind a invisible wall. Not the best description, I know, but I'm sure people know what I'm talking about. Anyone know how to do this in Premiere 6.5? Gracias.

If I remember the trailer correctly it's not like that. Say normally you have a title pushed in from the side, shown for a few seconds, and then pushed off screen. Well it's kinda like that except it's not being pushed from the side, but it comes out from anywhere in the screen like it was behind an invisible object.

I know what you're talking about. If you have AE you can just draw in a matte, and then under it's options select it so it simply blocks stuff under it. If you can I can experiment and find out exactly what you do.

Great film by the way. A Leone classic.

It's not a fade in.
