That was much better. One thing to adjust ... the initial bright light isn't centred at the same point that the missile disppears behind the building which looks a bit odd.

Yeah the second one was definetly better, but i dont think u should have that big of lense flair, and the flames on the nuke were kinda lame too. But it looked alot more realistic. Jimbobsquareoants, u have to be online to be able to send stuff to each other.

Since we're all talking about what a nuclear blast looks like...

Watch footage of the nuclear explosions over Japan, test blast videos, etc... An explosion white-out can last for minutes at a time. The blast is so immense it seems to take forever. There is no shrapnel because there really is no big explosion... just matter particles being blown apart at an atomic level, quite different than a conventional explosive.

I don't know a great deal about nukes, but would the buildings still be there after the explosion?

Yes you may, but please realise, you need a storyline and not the same cr** everyone else puts on this website, aka war movies. And this effect was a litte timid, id go for something really hardcore and scary.
