Thanks! I'm starting a new thread called "Compromised" (that's the working title for this flick) and posting what I've put here, and some more completed script.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm adding content so I want the thread to jump. Here's some more script. This immediately follows the part I posted previously; the CUT when Lawrence puts the phone down goes directly to this scene. CUT TO INT. Dark Room – No Evident Time A man wearing a black ...

Thanks, chris! I greatly appreciate the feedback.

This is just a first draft of these scenes, too, just so you guys know, so there'll be some tweaking of the script, but I'm fairly happy with this bit right now. Just got to finish writing the rest of the script now. . . .

Hey everyone. Here's a little excerpt from the beginning of my script. I'd really like some feedback on the flow of action and the dialogue if you can do it. I realize there's probably more "camera directions" in there than should be in a script, but cut me some slack since I'm going to be...

Aye, that's why I suggested Terragen; it's free. Have a look here if you're interested: http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/

Waiting to see the tweaked version!

Well, thank you for that summary. Are you going to offer suggestions on things I should change, or were you just hating on the idea?

RE: Re: RE: Production opener (sooper kewl logo time)

/agree with Mr. Anderson about the title I thought the concept was excellent. However, I'd recommend re-doing the animation using something that's more realistic than Bryce -- even Terragen would be a decided improvement. Or if you don't want it to look photoreal, tweak the video so it looks a bit m...

I was just using Photoshop. After generating the extended background, it was basically just a few clicks and some swipes with the eraser to use different flame elements.

RE: Re: RE: Crime Film (Two Sentence Pitch)

Haha, so true. . .but then, we all like automatic weaponry ;D I'm doing my best to avoid any plot holes, or even anything that looks like a plot hole. I want it to be completely believable. This is a bit tough since I'm by no means an expert on government policies for dealing with what essentially a...

Katana, probably, if you're referring to the Japanese "ninja sword" or "samurai sword". Morpheus uses one in Matrix Reloaded on top of the semi truck. I didn't see Underworld, but I seem to recall seeing katanas in use in the trailers. Could be wrong though. Photo of a katana so ...

RE: Night Time lighting

Wildstorm is correct. And you should always err on the side of overlighting, rather than underlighting (in my opinion), because it's easy enough to darken footage in post, while underlit footage is going to be grainy and awful, regardless of what you do to it in post.

RE: Test for 1642

My honest opinion: The CG looks like cr**. Take that with a grain of salt because I certainly can't do any better, but it just doesn't look remotely realistic. The miniatures looked good as far as I could tell, but as others have said, you need to slow that shot down. Also, you desperately need to i...

The pictures and suggestions for using them in a poster led them to create this, purely for my own entertainment, but I figured I'd share it with you guys. http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/8701/roaposterlo0wf.jpg The oil rigs don't blend really well, I know. . . Awesome, I'll be waiting for the pictures. On the weapons issue, here's some pictures I picked up from I don't remember where, they've been sitting in my reference photo collection for like a year. The weapons definitely look dirty. http://img60.imageshack.us/img60/9198/0mqw3abc200410288zc.th.jpg ht...

RE: Drugs

Drugs can basically look like anything. Stuff that would probably look good: Vitamin E capsules (if you're looking for a liquid kind of drug); problem is I don't know how many of those you can take without causing yourself a problem, so on-camera use may be limited. For a general capsule-with-white-...

RE: Re: RE: Crime Film (Two Sentence Pitch)

I actually shelved this idea for a while, but I'm picking it back up again and starting the screenplay over. If it ever progresses to an actual film I'm making, it'll be like Mr.Anderson said; a lot of the stuff will be implied. JackBauer: I'm kinda-sorta-almost using a government agent as the sourc...

That's terrible, Bullseye, and I'm glad your buddy wasn't killed as he very easily could have been.

And now, everyone else, I think this PROVES that you can and quite possibly WILL be shot if you mess around with replicas in public. So just. Don't. Do it. Rewrite and do it safely!

Okay. Whoever said SgtPadrino is just ranting clearly has missed the stories where kids got shot for holding cap guns, where a cop killed someone on Halloween because their costume included a fake gun, and so forth. You screw around with guns, be they real or fake, in public and you ARE going to win...
