The Salesman - 2nd place film in 48hr challenge

Post by Ornsack »

Hurrah! After a month of having it completed I can finally show you guys!

Has a longer production logo and longer credits than our actual entry, but the film remains the same (so any cr** bits can be blamed on that!). Our criteria was:

Name: The Salesman
Genre: Horror
Line of Dialogue: "Is that the best you can do?" (everyone had a different name/genre but everyone had the same line of dialogue to use)

"I- uh, I'm just here to sell you some shampoOoOoOooo...." Best. Line. EVER.

Bloody awsome, I can't even imagine what first place must've been like if that only earned you second. Great work, and absolutely hilarious. Great set too, what'd you do there?

Great. Really good fun as always. But that may be why you didn't win, as it wasn't totally horror, it was more a spoof horror.

Considering that was made in 48 hours it was excellent. The crowning moment - head being ripped off normal bloke.

Well done boys.

It was great! The kinda film I'd have loved to make. One scene had a guy firing a nail gun in to a building site. People were falling off of sheds and stuff. Great!

The set was just a cellar that was full of wood for their fire. We used two red bulbs and two yellow bulbs. Makes all the difference. Will definately use coloured bulbs for a lot of our indoor stuff in the future. Read more about it in the production diary in my sig

The top film of the day was supposed to be a 'Drama' but was more spoof action!

Like they said in their rules, 'comedy goes a long way', or 'laughter is the best.....' ah I can't remember what they said, something about comedy will make for a much better film than something serious

Cheers guys for your comments anyhoo! I reward you with some outtakes

Hi this is my first post, but I'm co-director of the Cupboard Of Doom that came 3rd in the 48 hour movie challenge. Just wanted to say I thought that your film The Salesman rocked. The whole thing was brilliant (for 48 hours especially). Those effects are quality too.

Psychotic on so many levels. I love it. Remember the test film I made for my new wide angle lens about a year and half ago titled "The Salesman"?

As usual un-attainably good, brilliant! What can I say, what am I supposed to say? Move to Hollywood and start to get rich quick. Like it, great effects. Great acting. Too good! You're by far the best filmmaker on this site, by far, no offence anyone, especially Grant and his lot with Udds, but you know...

Was reading through old comments and realised I never gave it a final bump, so thought I'd give it a go to see what happens.
