Wow sounds rather ambitious, i think some of your figures sound a little crazy tho, (namely the 200k of resources?!)

In any case good luck with the project, but you do need to be a little clearer perhaps with just what kind of help it is you need. Quite a lot of film students i know shoot a war themed 10min epic, in their last year of uni. I have one friend whose shooting one regarding the first world war (shooting near birmingham) okay forgive that terrible spelling lol, he's shooting on s16mm.

the 200k refers to the

RAF base
4 tanks
8 jeeps
4 transport Lorries
weapons, uniform
pyro
cameras
cranes
lights
stedycams
HD monitors
gyroscopic rigs
dollys
accomodation
(i could carry on but i think ive made my point)

lol or you could do what u managed to do and blag it for free muhahahaha (presumably) This is a lot for a short film though, while it sounds good, my only real concern would be that it is potentially indicative of a film that lacks narrative with depth, and distinct characterisation, hence is more reliant on production values and special effects/props etc.

For example, whats the difference between 3 and 4 tanks to your story? Get my drift!

So i look forward to seeing it but just be sure you don't end up with a film that would better show of a would be 'production company' or a producer, than it does the 'vision' and 'stylistic nuance' of a director.

The list of vehicles is nonetheless very impressive, from what particular historical society (presumably) of re-enactors did you do a deal with? I've sometimes worked with folk from manchester (ww2 rennactors)

If you only lived a wee bit closer then i'd be down there like a shot.

Geez i wish i had that sort of budget to play with, i'd actually be able to film one or two of the scripts i've written.

Which film school are you at?

I'm just being curious and stuff but what kind of CGI stuff are you looking to get completed?

Depending on your CGI needs I might be able to assist. If it's 3D, I'm no help at all, but if it's compositing and special effects along the lines of explosions, muzzle flashes, etc, then it's possible. Only question is if I do good enough work for what you're looking for!
