Heeeeeeey, everybody! I need an idea for a prop. In a movie i'll do pretty soon(if I can get my actors ) I need pot. LOTS of it. and not only loose leaves, that would be too easy ! I need buds. How can I do fake cannabis-sativa buds?

If you go to your local beach there are plants with buds that sorta look like it, you can get aregano and hot glue it to some wooden dowels to get the bud look maybe?

If this doesn't help go to your city and find a guy looking around on the corner of a street, say you need a couple ounces of shwag, shouldn't be more that $30, lol

well, I know where to get the stuff(every drug dealers in my town are around 3 spots; the highschool, the shopping mall and the bus station), but with a price of about 10$ a gram, and seeing that I need about 5oz, it would cost me 1000$ at least. so I think I won't go for the real deal!

it's for a movie which evolves in the drug industry; their will be special appearances of LSD, heroin, and coke, too!(I've already figured how to make those three ones)

the oregano glued on dowels thing just gave me an idea, I'm gonna roll glue covered cotton balls in a bag of oregano. it should do the trick. thanks!

(btw, if anyone has another(maybe more convenient) way to do this, just tell it! it may be usefull.)

Yeah, and my mum learned, from her ex-drug rehibiltation place, that if u put merely the cannibis that u buy into the ground and its most likely gonna grow, like a weed (hehe, ironic but true).

Oh yeah, and u can pick up a few on the internet, like on some sites, u get one bud for $30 and u get 1 bud free. Thats only if u want real pot. My suggestion is to just chuck some dried grass into a bag with a little green dye.

most people probable would never have seen a bud, and only know what the dried crushed stuff looks like, so with a little artistic liscence and a word or two to indicate its bud you could get away buying a furry cactus, maybe adding a bit of syrup to get the moistness and stickiness and then add some leaves if you can be bothered...

if it isn't cost effective, I'll go with DEDFX's idea.

(and btw, most people who will see the movie already saw and smoked the real thing before. the movie is adressed to people between 15 and 18 yo, after all!)

So far Canada and Amsterdam are like the best places to buy because its cheaper and legal.

For cocaine use powdered milk, you can actually sniff it without any reaction (the way they did it in the movie Blow)

It depends on what kind of quality you are talking about, theres a lot.

I thought you could carry up to around 3 grams legally?

aaaaah I think you're right, I've forgot that one... yup, if you don't have enough to be suspected of reselling, it's legal. for the exact quantity, I don't know; all I know is that it's under 1oz.

After experience of non-growing buds, buying weed 'for growing' really is a hit or miss affair.

do you need to show the bag for a prop or someone smoking? if the bag, you can take fresh cut basil and get it to stick together with some clear drying glue into buds. if smoking, you can just roll a cigarrette with papers using your choice of tobacco and get the shot from the side......

What i did for a smoking video is just cut a peice of A4 paper up vertically then wrap it up really tightly, and stick it together with a small bit of glue. Then light the end without tape. It works well, but it burns slowly.
