Video Effect in Movies etc.
Hey everyone,
I was just wondering, does anyone know what they do when they produce movies, commercials etc. to make the video look more smooth and make the skin tones nice and peachy?
Like I was watching this behind the scenes for a music video and when they were doing the filming, the skin of the people looked like it was shot with an ordinary camera, but at the end when they showed the final video the people looked all made-up and their skin looked liked it had heaps of tan lotion on it or something. but i'm sure they didn't actually tan themselves because they were doing the filming when they looked normal.
anyone know what i'm on about?
cheers,

does film in 24fps make a noticable difference? like does it make it seem more grand or something?

No, not really.
The cameras most commercials today are shot on are probably worth $750,000 each. Even if you own a decent editing program, you can manipulate the color curves and contrast to imitate the film look.

Can you find auto balance in Adobe Premiere? Does it just automatically adjust the contrast, hue, etc?rhys wrote:There is always the auto balance or what ever, i use that, it works well.

Its in the presets, yeah it just automatically fixes ur footage, but u obviously dont have any control over it... seeing as its like automatic. Or use the color balance, rgb, hls, levels, what ever works.
