16:9

Post by POHORC »

I want to capture video for my movie in widesreen format (16:9). I filmed the video in 16:9 on my camera. When I watch the video on my camera I can see black fileds on the top and on the bottom of the video.
There is now the problem. When I want to capture it to Adobe Premiere, the black fileds are visible. I tried also starting new project as weidesreen. The same problem.
Does somebody know, how can I solve this problem?

Please help!

Well, to start out with, you'll need to actually shoot it in 16:9. You say you see black fields? When you shoot 16:9, you see the image really stretched in your LCD/viewfinder (this is 16:9 stretched to fit 4:3). Other than that, I don't know how to help you, other than crop off the black fields, but then you lower the resolution...

When I shoot in 16:9 I see in the LCD the black fields.
After a while of trying, I finnaly master to capture the video in 16:9 without the black fields.
