44. Leaving a clip on for way too long, i.e. not changing the angle so people leave it on for 20seconds...boring.
45. putting a really werid/stuiped soundtrack on there film that doesnt have anything to do with the genre.
46. shaky cam, is Mr Bloby holding it?
47. under acting/poor acting.
48. having a 1 page script, (already covered).
49. thinking you can do a marothan of hercules(making a film), instead of learning how to crawl first (starting of with a 3min film).
50. keeping everything in one place or limited places is a gd idea, if not brilliant. Traveling to diff sets costs money, time, day light etc.

Just givin my 2cents, i'd just say to you all, just do it, an make IT!

One of the things I hate most is "tea making film". It goes like this:
shot 1 - CU hero wakes up
shot 2 - MS hero gets up
shot 3 - XCU hero puts shoes on
shot 4 - FS hero goes to the kitchen
shot 5-20 XCU's of filling teapot, lighting gas, etc in varoius angles
but if there's a dialog scene in this film a conversation it is just one, long shot of boring blah-blah.

Instead of making tea you can put any simple and insignificant (for the plot) act like brushing teeth or puting CD into stereo.

Zacatac927: My movie is quite a dramatic movie, very little action in it. But its gonna be good. The action sequences (i hope) are going to be reasonably gorey and disturbing, as well as angry and slightly skilled.
And yeah i think i sound like a bit of a hipocrit on this site, but its because i have changed... its not like i wrote the rule then comepletely dont the opposite, its the other way around... i did something stupid, then i wrote the rule so no one follows my footsteps

now i'm not going to start attacking you, because i don't have anything worth showing right now because my last good script got blown over b/c nobody would help me, and right now, i'm finishing all the tools i need for my next film. (mini35, vest mounted steadicam, crane, etc.) but seriously, i saw one of your test, and it sucked so bad. if your not old enough to have the knowledge and skills to make a good movie, at least make it funny or something.
