MAKEUP FX TIPS ASAP

I gotta make one of my friends look like an old wise mobster asap. So basically what i'm askin is for any tips may have to make him look older, and I need tried and true tips not "try this and maybe it'll work" ideas cuz right now I gotta start shootin and dont have time to experiment with it.

well, you could make a lifecast of him, and sculpt a full face prosthetic mask, or, if you're in a real hurry, try using stipple latex! that's what dick smith used on marlon brando to age him up. he added also a "plumper", which is a device that press down the cheeks so they look like old jowls.

for the color, try opting for a paler skin, and add spots. not dark brown spots, maybe a few shades lighter or darker than the original flesh color, to break the regularity a little. add veins; the skin with age has a tendency to become more translucent. here, an airbrush might be your best bet. and you should put the hairline of your friend back a few inches, if he agrees: for that, I'm affraid he'll have to shave his forehead a little! when it's done, bleach the hair stubble, so it looks like normal hair loss. and put a little silver in his mop. white isn't that wise-looking, silver is your best bet.
