Ive made it a 120x120 jpeg and at 0 quality, its still like 14 kbs. I think 6kbs is really hard to do. I have then tried to save it as a web file gif format and its 13.5 kbs, i cant get it that small..........

I got the file size down to 4.839kb Its a jpeg set to high with a quality setting of 77.

Open your image in Adobe Photoshop and go to image--->Resize---->Image size. Then in the width box input 120. Make sure constrain proportions is enabled. After the image is sized go to File---> Save for web. Select Jpeg and underneath that there should be a drop down menu thing that says low medium high and maximum. Select high and adjust the qulaity slider until the file size is under 6kb I'll remove the avatar in a bit

My suggestion would be to make the word "Vinsore" bigger. With a 120 x 80 avatar its a little small.

You could use somewere like imageshack, and have no restrictions.

rhys, I think you are doing something wrong with your jpg compression.

If I take your picture and resize 120x120 : 0 quality gives 1.29Kb and 100 quality gives 14.2Kb. 70 quality gives 5.6Kb.

That is in Adobe Photoshop.
