Shooting test
Here is a really small film in which i shoot someone for no apparent reason. It aint great, but it was to test blood and gunshots.

RE: Shooting test
That was pretty good, im a bit dubious of tests now, but it was a lot better than i expected (no offence). Did it take long to produce?
RE: Shooting test
apart drom the sound effects being out, that was pretty good.
Were they digital or physical?

RE: Shooting test
not really, bout 10 mins to film and bout an hour to edit, do special fx etc and upload.
For some damn reason, youtube makes the last gunshot go out of sync...
oh and everything was digital

RE: Shooting test
The cam should have panned out on the gun then we see the shot, IMO

RE: Shooting test
I used blood stock from detonation films, smoke stock and bullet shell stock. For the recoil of the pistol, i did that in photoshop over the space of 3 frames.

RE: Shooting test
Really good. Liked the smoke.
RE: Shooting test
yeh that was really good, i liked the smoke as well. cept im not sure if i like it how you do a second zoom-out after he's shot him once, but the first zoom-out looked wicked.

Re: RE: Shooting test
by the recoil...do you mean the slide blowback? im curious how you did that, because you cant really tell that it was done any other way then physically...so...i guess that means great job!Magic-Man wrote:I used blood stock from detonation films, smoke stock and bullet shell stock. It looked fine to me. The casing typically has a backspin, a result of the spring used to project the casing out of the chamber as effectively as possible.mercenary123 wrote:Most of that was good, something that bothered me about it though was how the spent casing was straight as it fell down. Casings usually tumble around as they're ejected from the gun.

you all call yourself film makers but how come noone noticed he walks from camera left to right... then it cuts to him walking right to left immediately after... BIG FAT NO NO.... You NEVER do that or cross the imaginary line.
Muzzle Flashes, Bullet Time, Lightsabers, Buffy Vampire Effects, War Films.... Ahhhhh!

hahaha, yeh i was wondering if anyone was going to notice that. Well done for spotting that, despite how blantently obvious it is. I did that because if got the correct shot, you would see a washing line or my house in the background and i wanted to keep a greenery background. (it is only a test after all) I got the film look with magic bullet. And my camera isn't special like a hd or 3ccd. If it was, i would have stated it. It is just a usual dv camera, which is why i am going to buy a tasty hc3.
