I've said this before (probably) and say it again, while the russian guy looks mildly russian, the other guy (whose wearing an east german overcoat perhaps?) looks well bad...
Plus with these costumes u need volume too anyway?
At the moment we have 20 Grey Tunics, (from the 1930s Swedish 6 pocket pattern) that looks amazing when easily converted to german. These are available cheaply in the UK you know... I mean you can then get Swedish or Swiss GreatCoats, either would look fine for German Greatcoats.
As for the hats, go for austrian peak caps i.e these most closley resemble german officers of ww2 but at pittance price. You need to make sure your trousers match jackets (when needed) I'd recommend stone grey swedish wool trousers, (they match the jacket) again available if u look...
For the Russians, you won't get gymnasterka's (or however u spell it) particularly cheap (unless there in very small sizes), best thing to go is for Russian tunics that replaced the gymnasterka, the er... (you'll have to research that, something like the m56 tunic or something.) But those aren't enormously cheap (get em with their breechies.)
Or even better, get khaki greatcoats for the ruskies, (and o' course u can get russian or russian looking helmets like the czech helmets pretty cheap.)
You have to put some real effort into this if you want to convince people, cos at the moment it looks like u 2 are pumpkins running about!
Check military surplus places, best thing to do is save up ur pocket money and talk to a wholesaler and grovel to see if they'll sell to you as a consumer.

Well jesus thats a bit depressing...
At wholesale you can get things a lot lot cheaper, and better things at that, but its a case of convincing or grovelling to a wholesaler to sell to u (whom are not a business) and casting aside their minimum price order rule etc.
If you come to Scotland anytime hehe you can always borrow our stuff Cos our rather modest production company is saving up uniforms for use in all kinds of crazy stuff tho a lot of it is ww2.
- Germans
20x german tunics ww2
10x german tunics ww1
20x tunic trousers (grey)
10x german greatcoats
20x (pairs) Regular black boots
30x 2 stud grey field caps (like the german mountain cap)
15x Officer caps
- Ruskies
12x Russian Tunics
12x Russian Breechies
10x Khaki Greatcoats
20x Russian Helmets
30x Sidecaps
20x Guard Peak Caps
- Brits
10x Ike Wool Jackets
20x Tommy Helmets
We tend to mix and match stuff, so for example, the wool trousers and the ike jackets go together well (the colours are quite faded) to create a brit, or we can put him in the khaki greatcoat etc, and they look fine.
We're getting that stuff and more stuff in, So man if you ever find urself up here pay us a visit. I might seem a bit harsh and our stuff isnt totally perfect either!!! But if you are wanting to learn as quickly as possible stuff about film (not saying im an expert) then the harsh stuff although it sucks, helps u along much faster.

I agree with Lawriejaffa to an extent. I know you guys are probably pressed for cash, but it'll be far more worth your time and money investing in authentic items. Trying to continually cheat your way around costumes only makes you look like kids playing war games, and they won't be worth anything afterwards. We're just saying if you are going to spend the effort, why not do it right?
Not to mention if you fall short on money in the future, really good quality replica WW2 stuff can fetch you lots of money on eBay.
