RE: Controlled Pyrotechnics
That's not pyrotechnics, that's taking a metal bucket, filling it with crumpled newspaper, then setting fire to it. Feed it paper unti you have enough ash then dump it onto the ground using a pair if leather gloves if you can't take the heat.

It's not about controlling the fire literally, it's about being in control of the situation. I you're worried about setting soemthing on fire have stuff on hand to put it out. Four levels of safety is a good way to start. (bucket of water, garden hose, wet blanket, fire extinguisher. If you cant put it out with that, then: (A) Have a phone standing by to call the Fire Dept., and (B) You've got other issues regarding intelligence quotient.I already wrote:dump it onto the ground

I have tryed the above but i forgot my dad loljackbauer24 wrote:If you want to set fire to the ground. pour some lighter fliud on the ground and drop a match in it. but be careful because it can jump and have a fire extinguisher with you. if you do this and hurt someone or yourself i am not liable. have your dad there
anyway when i used petrol it went up well, but there was alot of smoke, when i tryed to put it out however it was not as easy as putting water on it as water and petrol are not the best combination lol. I did have a small foam sprayer thingy and that did not work either lol.
My advice is to use small amounts and make sure you have lots of sand, its the best safist way to put out this sort of fire without having the fire dept on standby.

I remember a sunday school teacher of mine who made stuff where he could stick his hand in it and then light his hand with a match and let it burn for a while before he put it out. It was really cool--he wouldn't give us the recipe, but I'm sure it's what they use in a lot of movies, at least for fires on people...
someone made a tutorial on setting yourself on fire, it'll be on here somewhere,
i don't no whay lot you care so much about safety, if a fire gets out of hand you run your a$$ off! works all the time, woo

as your 13, i wouldnt recommend using chemicals/petrols just yet. Apart from getting hold of them, which would be difficult at your age anyway, there are a lot which have pretty dodgy fumes/reactions.
Instead, dig a small hole in the ground to contain the fire, then roll up newspaper and fill the bottom of the hole. Add dried twigs & grass & leaves (depending on how much smoke you want, add more leaves for more smoke etc.) then light it at either end with a lighter/match.
Feed it, and you could use some coal too if you need it to be burning for a while. Just have quite a lot of kindling material ready, because it burns quick.
