what is a good way to shoot out fake blood?

How do you make that thing Robert Rodriguez had in Once Upon A Time In Mexico. When he shot the fake blood out of something on to the actor.

usually it is with compressaed air in a tube.... i forget ( i read rebel without a cause and i think they explained it ) but in most movies you stick a tube up the person to the point where you want the blood to shoot out... then have an aircompressor he tube is attached to with some fake blood in the tube. then at the point turn on the ocomprerssor and whalah! inta blood .... also you can use squibs where you put the blood in a baggie, like well a condom and then put some gunpowder behind it and set and fie away....

Ive mdae them before, the best way is with some 15mm copper pipe. Attach it to a pressure vessel such as an old fire exitnguisher or some 22mm pipe. Pump it up to about 150psi and open the ball valve.

I have also made pyrotechnic ones but this is generally a bad idea.

Yep just general air compressor or weed sprayer (make sure its new, you might poisin someone) would do it.

You can even make something as simple as a plastic tube with somebody blowing on the other end.

I made one with an air compresser hooked to a tube, at the end of the short tube was a ball valve, that we would close to start, and then a longer tube where we would put the gore. you hit the compresser for a few seconds, filling the small tube with compresed air then open the ball valve and it flings your gore (mine was a mix of corn syrup and water) at the target. Got all I needed a lows for about $12 not counting the compresser.
