I use Final Cut Pro. But it is probably the same kind of thing. How would you do it in Premiere? I am not that good with photoshop, but I know how to import a filmstrip, I think

then didn't you just answer your own question? export as movie, i think, and in the settings (AVI, MOV, etc) one of them should be a filmstrip. (.FLM i THINK, not 100% sure).

I believe only Premiere can export to .flm format, I think it's a proprietary Adobe format, therefore nobody else uses it.

sometimes i think people purposfully forget google...

"A "Filmstrip" is a graphic file format that contains multiple images with the same size. More accurately, it contains multiple frames of an animation sequence. The Filmstrip file format was introduced with Adobe Premiere and it is supported by several other products by Adobe (notably After Effects and Photoshop). "

gee that was difficult.

You can import AVI files directly into Abobe Imageready which is part of the Photoshop package. Word of warning though, if its a big AVI file and can take a long time converting it and importing it. But at that point you can output in gif or swf format or whatever.
