how? i want a video of an explosion (which ive got all sorted out) to appear behind someone. like the person is in between the camera and the explosion. please help

For that you probably want to use a more image editing friendly program, like Adobe Photoshop for example. You can set outlines for your masks easier or even paint out each frame by hand.
