Hey!

I was wondering, how do they make those trasitions in That 70's Show where there is a cool background behind them and the camera is UNDER them?

They most likely filmed the actors infront of a bluescreen. The actors would stand on clear glass.

cheapo plastic sheet pulled tort- wouldn't work
clear hardened plastic- wouldn't work


therefore i have no suggestions, useful stuff

master the ability to float in the air...or sneaky a window store and set up to quickly do the shot while another guy talks to the sales clerk at the other end of the store...
you could try your luck at like a scrap yard/dead car lot or something and get a windsheild for cheap.

why dont you look around your city for a large piece of glass you can walk on there has to be one some place in a monument or something and if theres no clouds in the sky you got a blue screen

lol good idea! the YMCA near me has glass floors but i doubt they will let me set up a green screen and all that.

One more thing, I was looking at pictures of them filming these scenes in That 70's Show and saw that they use a brown screen. Why? Isnt it hard to chroma key then? ? ? ? ?

id imagine it would with the popular color of clothes in the 70's being brown. you can use any color screen to get a key as long as the colors are very distinctly different. for that movie about the lions killing everyone they used red screen to film plates of grass
