Did it actually look like real transparent glass. Most times it comes out brownish.

it comes out grear but amber color, I would try food coloring (i've never done it correctly) so put the coloring in before you melt it.

Way off topic but a few years ago I used karo syrup, added cornstarch and then red food coloring and maybe water.... anyways it was my first time making fake blood and I put it in the microwave because I thought the red would mix in quicker if it was hot (i was stupid) anywho the outcome was a perfect "hot foam" texture but had a bad smell to it, I'm trying it again soon. It looked just like Freddy Kruegers skin.

****WARNING DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME****

If you read my above post I said that I was going to "try it again soon". Yeah, don't put corn starch in the microwave... it was on a plate with the karo syrup and the plate exploded. My mom was there and thankfully didn't see it but heard a noise, she said you didn't put corn starch in there did you? It has talc in it and is bad for the microwave, and plates.

to make clear sugar glass use glucose syryp, it works a treat if poured into a baking try (makes a pane of glass) but the only way I have found to make a bottle is to have a mold and then glus the two hales togethe, stick on a label and there you go.

yep and you can make it harder by its thickness but it is a little sticky so IDK if it'd stick to hair. Someone should make a test movie.

I heard Gluscose Syrup is just what Corn Syrup is called in the UK? I have a movie idea I'm working on and plan to film in May and wanted to have a something fly through a window but here are a few questions I have on the subject.

Do I need to use old things (like pans)? this is what I've heard from other sites but it never tells why.

Does anybody have any pictures or video containing your homemade Sugar Glass?
