after effects rendering help

oy!

yea, so this is prolly a really silly question.

I just finished an FX shot in after effects, and want to export it to final cut.

So i add it to the render queue to render it, and put it on "best" quality, but when it comes out, the resolution in the quicktime video is really low.

when put on "dv" settings, it comes out all lined and wierd looking.

finally, i tried fiddling with the resolution in custom, putting rendering resolution on every 1 pxl, not every 5, but then it's just glitching and messed up.

HELP PLEEZE!!!

with higher resolution or just a way to export it directly to final cut, which im much better with,
