There is absolutely nothing wrong with Premiere it rocks. It used to be a MAC item also, till Apple decided to compete head on and lost almost everything Adobe.
If you own Adobe Premiere you will love it, it’s a little hard to learn, but once you do, you will love it. Also it integrates(naturally) with everything else Adobe. If you use Photoshop, Premiere supports layers from that, so does Adobe Encore, their DVD software. After Effects supports almost everything Premiere does. So no worries man, you got a good product.
If you want to learn more about premiere you can check out our site under Tutorials and download an excellent PDF on learning Premiere.
