Windows Media Player and Win XP

Post by U.S.Amateurfilmaker »

Has anyone else had the problem of windows media player on Windows XP not being able to play streaming video? Whenever I click on a movie, and it opens in Win Media, it comes up with an error that it cannot be played. Media 9 Series does the same. If anyone else has this problem, or knows how to fix it, please respond.

You might need an update to media player, go to the microsoft update site, and they will tell you if you need somthing.

Thats what I've been doing, but some things will only stream, and not allow you to save as.

I have XP, and have never had a problem with Windows Media Player. But then again, I don't stream because streaming sucks.

and if they force you to stream, while it's still downloading, look at the status bar and write down that adress quickly. Then just email the link to yourself, and you can save it to your computer. I have done this multiple times...
