Animation

Post by DEDFX »

Hey, I was wondering if I could shoot a stop-motion sequence and put it in a sequence of a guy in a field or something. Sounds confusing but think about an old Harryhausen film or King Kong. They filmed a guy looking at nothing then when editing they put the gorilla stop motion in there to look like the guy was looking at him the whole time. If I was to do this would I have to make the stop motion infront of a blue screen or something? Thanks.

shoot a guy in a field looking up, try not to move. film the lets say (monkey) by putting the camera low to the ground. make sure its the same colour of light as the man, then put em together in the edit software.

Against a blank background, I'd think.
