Software Video Stabilizers

Post by XeFx309 »

Anyone know any affordable (or free  ) software video stabilizers around? Best case scenario is that they accept Paypal. Thanks.

usually, it's best to get a stedicam. I'm sure someone around here has a link to a homemade one, but if the footage is shot, and there is no way to reshoot it later, I doubt there is much you can do

Yeah, I have a steady cam, but unfortunately I could not find it the day of filming. Now I need of a post-production solution.

Avid Express Pro does it very well...but beware that some other programs tend to leave black marks around the edges.

Well, remember that one must increase the image size so that it has room to move within the frame. Letting it automatically adjust without any leeway permits the picture to run out of picture! You cannot recreate the image cut off on any side, so it's a fundamental thing to keep in mind. More advanced programs will increase it before hand so that it can move as needed and knows the boundaries to the image.
