Post by Catscratch44 »

This has probably been asked tons of times but i've tried searching the forum and the site and nothing has turned up, What should I use to cover my light to make it look like moon light?

A CTB (Color Temperature Blue) Gel. You can get them in varied intensities, for example full, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc. You can pick up an assorted CTB pack, or you can get a Tungsten-Daylight conversion pack. If all you really want is a CTB gel, it's probably a better idea to just buy a sheet of it. You should be able to find these at any local photo store (Cord Camera, etc.), or you can buy online at B&H Photo or EVS.

Here's a link about digital film making, it mentions briefly lighting your scene with a blue filter about halfway down and has a few handy tips. It wont solve your problem, but along with any one of the filters that browncow mentioned in his posts, it should help for a more realistic effect. good luck with the film.
