basically all i do, first of all
dont use ADOBE PREMIER to insert your flashes, becuase they look like complete garbage....
take every frame out of the movie that you want to fix, use photoshop 7 to put the flashes in, then take those frames and put them back into the film sequence using adobe premier 6

Welcome Motley, Hey looks really cool. Maybe add just a little more color and body to the flash, but otherwise awesome.
Any other sfx ideas would be greatly appreciated here. Check out our personal sites also.

I have a muzzle flash example on my Shosk website, although seeing as though half the videos are currently dead links on there at the moment, take a look at the trailer on this old pageof mine:
www.geocities.com/websiteparadiso
Just scroll down the page a tad and click on the TRAILER.

I hope you guys do realize that motleycrue posted this nearly a year ago and is probably not going to respond to your questions!!!
Yeah, nice weapons. I use Premiere for my flashes, and I have gotten ideal results. I would have uploaded a movie with an example, but I lost it!

"motleycrue what do u use to put the frames back into premiere - i use animation shop 3 but it makes them all flickery. any suggesstions?"
Wouldn't importing 25 pictures and put them in a frame-each duration type sequence give you one second (on PAL) of video without flicker?
That's what I'm guessing I'm going to have to do if I want to make a lightsabre blade retract or activate.
Have the video of the lightsabre complete with effects always active, then export each frame to a BMP where I want the sabre to extract/retract, then use Photobrush to clone over part of the sabre until it looks like It's being retracted or starting up and then sendjng those saved, individual frames into Premiere with that method I mentioned.
Or do any of you know easier ways of making Lightsabres retract/activate?
