Weed Sprayer For Headshot
Will this 1 gallon pump up weed sprayer be powerful enough for a headshot?

Also, any tips on how to do the headshot? Should the fake blood just be water and food coloring? (So it could be pushed out of the tube easier.) I have two headshots, side views, in my movie. I hope to film this tomorrow. So any help is appreciated.

RE: Weed Sprayer For Headshot
We used something like this in "Forgotten". The blood was basically water, red food coloring, and flour all mixed very well. It will stain clothing.

Exposure's a great site, you can't use karo syrup for this due to the thickness but you can add water to karo(before adding food coloring). You need a longer tuube so get one at the hardware store, also I heard using powder based food coloring won't stain, unlike food coloring... I would go with the food coloring unless you want to spend $$ on powder coloring..

I love the tutorial on exposure, but for the stomache hit you can see the hole already. Is there an easy way to cover this up?slimdog55 wrote:Will this 1 gallon pump up weed sprayer be powerful enough for a headshot?

Don't ask me how, it just works; and the blood I was using was pretty frickin' thick too. Here's a test video:

Yes, I know some of the problems with the video, but it's just a test. The first shot was about 2 inches from the wall pointing striaght up into the wall while attached to the bench. It was pretty powerful it shot it out 12 feet onto the driveway. You can see alittle bit get on the gutter to the left side.
I shot it out from three feet from a wall and it made a pretty good looking splatter. Once you move up to 4 feet it starts to drop about 8 inches from the exit wound point.

thats a good idea , but obviously you'd have to be wearing a white shirt for this to look right.
transparent, so not just white shirts.....once the glue is on the paper it will be transparent,
