i knew i had heard of it somewhere - not to matter though, i think the one on this site had better reviews! i also doubt any legal proceedings will ensue.

We already knew about the other film. No one can stop you using a previously used film name. You can not copyright a film title. If you can only infringe someone elses trademark. As we are not taking advantage of anyone elses work or reputation we are untouchable. There is nothing stopping you making a film called 'Jaws' for example as long as you do not attempt to cash in on the obviously famous image created by another film maker. ie Make a film called 'Jaws' and you are fine, unless it is about a shark .....

The other film of the same title was cr**. Adam has got it on DVD. Even at x8 fast-forward it was dull. The makers of 'Hollow Point' are free to complain but I doubt they are in business anymore cos even GUTS was better than their effort.

Too be honest we didn't really watch it with an open mind and started watching it while we were waiting for a taxi :)

yeah you can't get sued by using the same title in the same year there was a movie called "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson and then "The Patriot" with Steven Seagul. Obviously the Mel Gibson one was better. LOL

Actually, that's quite wrong. Watching Das Boot in 8 x fast forward was the most relieving experience of my life!!!

Bloody good film but too bloody long!
