Guts - what do you think of these?

Post by puje »

Hi this is my first or second post here and I just wanted to say hi.

Me and a my neighbour are making a little splatter (probably 4 min.)
I play the psyco killer and also victim #2 and I get my belly slashed open.
What do you think of these guts?
I made them by wrapping kitchen roll paper around some ropes and then dip them in elderberry soup.

If you dont like them, well that's too bad cause we already shot it, but I'd still like to know what you think! :P

I'd imagine you can use anything nice and red. Oooh, I bet that red punch syrup would work great!

One thing. Try keeping the juice on his chin only. Dont have it on his upper lip, otherwise it just looks like he's been guzling grape juice.

It looks pretty good. I'll admit, it's a creative technique. However, as you move away from the central wound, it begins looking more and more like the "elderberry soup," and thus, too pink. Under the right lighting, with creative camera work, and with slight improvements in the makeup, you could have a very convincing effect on your hands... err... stomach...
Erm... yeah...

They look pretty good! But I think there a little bit too bright and pink, so next time you should add some dark food coloring or something.

Assuming they're intestines, they're too thin. Other than that, they look nice and disgusting, though, as mentioned, slightly pink.

Add some blue or green dye to make it darke. The intestines look good though.

Next time try to have them attached to the stomach more, and a lot more "gushy".

Not bad. Make sure you dip that in A LOT of blood for realism, and try not to get to close to them, otherwise it will start to look fake.

By that do you mean it looks fake?
