Yea I'm buying a new one; so far I've saved up around $180 in the past two weeks, and I'm working over spring break so I'll bring in around $300 or more. And if I don't get it in time, then I'll use the school's cameras. Besides, I only use the little one when I am just messing around.

Okay, I got about 3 fiberglass helment liners (one of them not shown in the picture below) which look like helments, I also bought the airsoft Mp-40 (hooray!). And today we just did alot of filming for a WWII history project, It's about six minutes long, and I still need to get some other bit shots in we shot most of it today. Here's a little picture we took with some of the gear (I'm the one with the Mp-40).

And no, he didn't run around with dual Colts, we just picked our favorite weapons and showed them off.

Also the one on the far right is not retarded, he just couldn't hold it right with the shoulder on his.

I couldn't find any WW2 stuff, except for the repilca of the field jacket; all the uniforms are my dad's (late 70's). But come on, it still looks okay-

right?

isnt "band of brothers" already taken?!!?! And yeah looks ok. The thing that really makes it WWIIy is if you can get some garrand bandoliers....
Is that a springfield? bc it looks really good. Go to wall mart, buy a six dollar scope and mount it on it, then you wil have a true sniper rifle

No I'm not using Band of Brothers as a title, I was just messing around in Photoshop and thought it looked cool. And no it isn't a Spring field it's a 1924 Chech Moser Kar 98 (Could I make it any longer?). All the guns we're posing with are just stuff we picked up, not the character's weapons. Anyways, I already have a Springfield with a scope just didn't use it for this filming. And I won't be using these uniforms for The Enemy Within, I need to go to Wally World and pick up some clothes, after I get my new camera (WOOT!).

My advice, get some belts! you can find cheap isralie pistol belts (khaki) that look identacle to the WWII us ones for under 6 bucks if you look around and y acan find $30 Olive drap garand belts. Get some!!!!!

I got the Kar from some guy that works at a gun shop, he has a bunch of WW2 stuff, he would have let me used his other Kar (1939) and his M-1 Carbine but he couldn't make it to the shoot, and he didn't trust me that much. Also I don't plan on using these uniforms (I only used them because I knew I was going to make this video B&W; and I do have belts and stuff, but we took them off (we were wearing them for about four hours). And the guy who gave me the guns did give me a belt with pouchs filled with Garand clips with live ammo, but my dad was afraid that one might go off since we were jumping and falling down all day.

To be perfectly honest, the muzzle blasts are on far too long and some of the explosions and bombs going off all around the person look extremly fake. But apart from that it was ok. Mind you, nobody in a warzone fights without a helmet on. To dangerous. 'Part from that, it was good.

P.S.Was that explosion at the end when the american threw the grenade at the german stock footage from detenation filsm or thepivoted plank dirt trick?

Actually THP, come to think of it it doesnt look ALOT like a springfield...but o well I cant see..sue me!
The helmet did look really bad :eviltongue:
Suggestion: In you photo (and movie), bring the color saturation down. not to black and white...just half way, or whatever looks right to you.

I know the explosions looked pretty bad, I should have messed around with the brightness and transparent stuff more. I didn't use a helment because I didn't have the ones I do have now, so I was very limited (holloween bucket). And yes the explosion was stock footage.

In the little video I just got finished filming, I'm going to desaturate the video by 60% and give it more of a blue/green tint.

Sometime by the end of this month, but I can tell you already it doesn't look too good. Good thing it was just a test.
