Try some listening to some of Bach's Preludes and Fugues. Some of his organ works are Hollywood scary classics!

I would personally use Hanz Zimmer's music from the film "Hannibal". It is some of the scariest music I've heard.

Try searching www.myspace.com for some unsigned artists that may have some work you are looking for and would certainly be happy to give you permission to use it. Thats the legal, legit, and smart way to do it. -L8er

Yeah, the Village has some really great "Jump" music as well. Try the Gothika soundtrack.

I have a cd i bought a little while ago that wasent on sale for the public called 'chiller', it was a compilation of songs b hollywood composers Its amazing, go to www.directorscuts.tv for the official stuff, or go to media ventures website and you can obtain a pass that will let you download any of the music, royalty free. its very good stuff, i even listen to it just for something to listen to its that good. they use it on adverts aswell. if anyone remembers a non smoking advery from UK tv were kids are breathing out fag smoke and there is a demented fairytale like song playing, creepy as hell, thats the one they used. very powerul and terryfying music. i used it to score my first 7 films. there all themed like 'curse of the mummy', 'boogeyman', 'trick or treat' ect. if you cant get any, I can get it copied and sent to you wherever you are. email me at theshapecool@aol.com if yer interested. It also has the greatest movie themed cd case ever known to man, I will defo take a picture of it and stick it on here sometime, its a clapper board and the top that opens up is where the cd goes. Encase you havent already noticed, I love this cd!

I have an anncouncement lol..

The Exorcist Theme is not scary at all. I used it in a parody of someone I knew.

I lined up the "Lurching" when whenever it showed his face.
