Canon XL-1, XL-1S, XL-1E, differences?

Post by ChemicalShaman »

Sorry for posting this in two forums but I kind of need a quick reply for this question and I thought that I would have a much better chance if I posted it here. Can't seem to find the answer on teh web anywhere.

Can anybody tell me what the differences are between the XL-1 models? Do anymodels offer less features etc?

Also could somebody estimate roughly what would be a good price to pay for one second hand?

cheers

XL2 is the newest, followed by the XL1s, then XL1. Never heard of the XL1E. Each Camera gets successively better, with more features and better chips/technology. The new XL2 can even do 24p.

The XL-1E is the PAL version of the NTSC XL-1. The XL-1S has a whole bunch of new features, but looks exactly like the XL-1.

The lens is bigger. The XL1's lens is 10x zoom, while the XL1s's is 16x.

I've seen the XL2 and it is definatly bigger than the previous XL's. From what I saw, better resolution as well.
