Friday The 13th:bloodline

Post by Theshapecool »

Well about a year ago me and a mate had to make a trailer for Media studies, and we decided to do a Friday trailer, and we fell in love with the idea and finnally we are actually making the whole film.
Its got Dan Bennett as Don, the bounty hunter, and Me as Jason, there are many other roles but I wont go into it all.
The film is going to be about 40 mins, and has a mixure of action, suspence, horror and of course violence.
The film hasent quite finished yet, but its coming along, you can download the teaser trailer here: http://rapidshare.de/files/747716/Blood ... _.wmv.html
The trailer was wipped up rather quickly, and another is on its way soon.
Dont forget to go to www.freewebs.com/sledgefilms to get all the updates.
any feedback would be helpful, and let me know if anyone else has done any Jason related projects.

Totally agree that I also look forward to seeing the finished product.

My only criticism from the trailer would be that it looks a bit light to be a horror.

you need to go down the bottom, click free download, then go to the bottom of the next page and clock the link. Thanks for the cool comments, it was a bit rushed and I will poster a better trailer soon. Elastic thanks for your critisism (I mean it) thing is, we have a bit of a problem with lighting, and filming in the dark dosent allways work for us, there are some night shots, but the whole idea here is that Jason is relentless and no one is safe, in darkness or light.
Also looking at some of my favourate friday the 13th films, I really like the shots that are set in day, it really breaks boundries and makes you forget about the notion that it has to be night time and with thunder and lightning before your in any danger.
The finished project will be available, but probably only on Soulseek, as Its tricky finding a free file hosting site that will hold the entire movie, But I'll keep you updated, thanks again.

Anyone notice that this film has pretty much the same name as Mushiman's new film? :D

'Bloodline' is a fairly generic title for a horror film though don't you think? Yes, Mushiman's using it too, but Hellraiser also used it for their fourth movie. BTW, I tried downloading this and even though I'm on broadband, it gave me the most pathetic of download speeds and would have taken over two hours!
Ooh, french maid. Didn't expect me home from the whipped cream store so soon did you? And who's your lady friend?

Yeah it is a pretty Generic name, works well though, we have other names to use in the Sequels, but they havent been estableshed to the story just yet. The download is all we can get at the moment, but still I know about 12 people who have downloaded it on BB and they say it took about 1 1/2 mins, so It must be your connection, but still thats not really what I wanted feedback on....But thanks for sharing

Well, I thought I'd try it again - and lo and behold! A much better connection, weird. Nah, it looks alright, look forward to seeing the finished version. I'm a big fan of the Friday movies (even number 5!) so anything (well almost) with Jason in is worth watching in my book...

Good Jason 'costume' too! I think it would be cooler though if Jason was a bit bigger to give that unstoppable killing machine feel.

Yeah I agree with you there, thing is Im not that tall, but I was desperate to play Jason, and with everything else, we dont dwell on it too much. I wish I was taller, but I'm the biggest guy out of all us, But not the tallest lol. But with all the stunt background and that I was about the most suitable for the role. I wanted to go for the kane Hodder look, bulky, instead of the Ken Kirzinger look, tall and thin. but thanks anyway, the costume was a variation that I designed on the freddy vs Jason outfit. See we wanted to go back to the roots, and have Jason a little more vulnerable in this one, much like the 'fresh zombie' feel of Friday part 3-6. he will get more imposing as the movies go on, but you have to see the whole film to get the whole scope of the charector. I play alot of bad guys, but I like to make each one of them unique, but I studied the charector for a good period of time, so I think we got it accurate. Plus the mask was handmade in Michigan, its a Freddy vs Jason replica.

well the movie is nearing completion, and today me and Matt filmed his death scene. I had many ideas for his look, as in this scene you see the aftermath of the killing only, not the actual killing.
We decided to have his eyeball taken out, and resting on his cheekbone.
so its all going well, fingers crossed it should be finished by mid may.

Just to keep you in check, Here is a pic of Matt's death scene, after he is found with his eyes taken out. We had to rush this one, but it turned out ok. did it in his bathroom, and its one of the more grisly moments in the film.
EDIT: the pic wouldnt work, so just go here: http://www.freewebs.com/nightmaresinc/Picture%20047.jpg to see it, sorry guys :0/
