The Crow: Dark Redemption

Post by NGFilms03 »

My friends and I are starting production on this film tomorrow. Nothing big really, we're just going to shoot some preliminary shots in this old, abandoned house we found. Then we can get the title sequence together and get moving with the rest of the picture.

If anyone would like to take a look at the script so far, here it is. (Sorry about the title sequence being scripted, but I had to explain to my friends what I was doing with it) Any comments or constructive criticism is welcome.

THE CROW: DARK REDEMPTION

OVER BLACK

The credits play across the screen, sliding in and casually fading away.

nice start to the script. just a couple things. are you going to have the Voice Over that the crow films had, "a crow would bring them back...". Also wouldnt the cops have removed the weapons from the floor of the abandon house? and id think that jones would be more p*** off before he gets his arm snapped. other than that its good.
yeah, im a loser..

Thanks alot. But nope, no voice over. The third film didn't actually have one either. And the weapons on the floor are his that he's collected to take his revenge, not the murder weapons.

Right, pretty good, but not original in the least. That first scene is directly from the first book by J O'barr except you've changed the action and dialogue ever so slightly. Or is it supposed to be the movie of the book? I'm confused.
Life is like a big joint. You pack in as much as you can, and when you're finished, you pass on.

Made that'un up me'self.

yep, productions just been slowed down due to our lead actor suffering an injury. it will be made but at the moment we're concentrating on getting our other film, Sanguinary Man, finished. I've uploaded a teaser and a couple of clips on here. Check them out if you havn't already. I'd love to hear some more opinions.

None, Sanguinary Man's the best low-budget film I've ever seen. But what films of mine have you actually seen? That one scene from Dead Weight? A couple of rough edits of Powder? Reserve judgment until you actually SEE one of my films in full. If you like you can come to the premiere of POWDER with Matt. We're playing Sanguinary Man there to. But don't blast me before you've seen my flicks.

Mark Rutheford. And I don't think you've seen most of it. It's 70 minutes long.

We had a feature length story to tell. It's about a very eventful week in the life of a gangster. It couldn't be told in 25 minutes. It's easy to make a feature film if you have a very definate three-part structure and a lot of planning.

How about... bored office-worker guy meets crazy, radical activist guy. By some freak occurance, they become best buddies, and decide to enter a life of crime. They're main thing is huge insurance fraud, like they blow up the place where crazy activist works while he was supposed to be in there, then dress up like his mum and collect insurance. Then activist starts to become obsessed with changing his face so that the cops can't get him. After everybig crime he commits (bank robberies, muggings etc.) he gets extensive plastic surgery. Then one day he disappears for about two weeks. One morning, office-worker wakes up and he's wanted for murder. After being chased by the police he finally meets up with activist in the office block office-worker works in. ACTIVIST HAS OFFICE-WORKER'S FACE! And that's all I got. That's just off the top of my head.
