"Dubbing"

What would a person do if he wanted to make a cheesy '70 Kung-Fu movie, and had to dub all the lines? Would I just need another microphone?

Probably. Ask Grant he made a film, Dark Prophecy that had dubbing and was really cool.

If you're dubbing it in true Hong Kong style Kung-fu, don't forget to deliberately get the lip sync wrong! It's usually a good laugh to let the character on film carry on talking for a few seconds, and replace the words through dubbing with a simple "Yes"!

Don't forget all the sound effects! I'd look forward to seeing a movie like this when it's done!

I don't know how you're editing the movie after filming, but whatever method you do, look at the footage, and work out a rough script. Then (After a few beers) sit down in front of the TV, and script in the dubbing! It'll be a hoot!

Oh God yes, that is brilliant when they do that, cracks me up every single time.

Simply i recorded the dubbed voices after the shoot at home. I just then easily added them in during the editing process. I was not concerned at all with any lip sinc.

The lines were actually spoken in english and then dubbed into dictionary dubbed Chinese
