Real Rifles and/or Machineguns: Where to get?
I'm looking for a place that sells deactivated Lee Enfields or any other bolt action rifle I can lay my habds on in very poor condition, so they'll be cheap. Also, I'm trying to pick up some sort of Lewis gun or Maxim gun replica pr resin model. Also, where can I get a prop ammo belt that still has bullet casings in it?

Not for deactivated guns... That means that they can never fire again, they're like dummies. Plus, here you can own as many rifles as you want... If you have an auto though, you need paperwork, and lots of it.

I know working Lee Enfields will run you about 120-150 dollars so the deactivated ones have got to be much cheaper then right?

Thats what I figured, especially if those deactivated weapons are in crappy condition (scratched, rusty, missing parts). However, I have had no luck in finding anything like it.

No, I want the cheapest thing possible, which is deactivated junkers that I can slap a paintjob on and put to use.

Heh, thanks.Essentially I want the kind of cr** you'd find in a junkyard, because on camera it wont look so unrealistic if the weapons are smashed up. I dont wanna pay too much for em, so I was wondering if anyone knew a place where they sold junkers.

Well, price for the weapons isnt a huge object since what I'm talking about are crappy deactivated junkers, not pristine, working weapons.

Re: RE: Real Rifles and/or Machineguns: Where to get?
It's not that he's afraid of a working gun, he just wants it for very little money. Paying for a working one at a higher rate and then destroying it in the name of having a cheaper gun makes no sense.tallman_house_pictures wrote:You could find the cheapest enfield for sale, them have the guy deactivate it.

If you have any gun shows that come to town near by that would be a good place to start looking.
RE: Re: RE: Real Rifles and/or Machineguns: Where to get?
what about actual gun shops? (if you have any close by)

Gunsshows would be your best bet you can usually find stocks and other parts.Yardsales are sometimes good for finding junk guns that don't fire as well.

RE: Re: RE: Real Rifles and/or Machineguns: Where to get?
Sometimes it costs money to deactivate it, and plus, ited be easire to come across a broken down working one that a deactiavated one for that cheap cause there wouldnt be any reason to deactivate a cr** rifle for anything like film use. See my point?
