I tried running a setup file for software that worked a few months ago and got this error:
C:\Windows\System32\AutoExec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS And Micrososft Windows Applications. Choose 'Close' To terminate the application.
Any advice?

RE: 16 bit windows subsystem error...
Try re-installing Windows to repair any damaged filed.
You don't have to do a clean install, just install it over your existing setup. It will keep all your files and settings intact.
Could you have a virus? Try an up to date viris scan.

RE: 16 bit windows subsystem error...
Fixed it: Had to move the Autoexec.nt file from Windows Repair to System32
