cant get perfect quality when capturing

ok this is kind of ticking me off, i cant get perfect quality video onto my pc.
im using:
adobe premier 6.0
sony DV handy cam DCR-HC40
firewire
ATI all in wonder 9200 video card

The quality on this video isn't that bad. But if your having problems with scanlines etc. Look up the interlacing posts. If you keep reposting this people will get upset its been delt with a million times. Thats why theres a search engine for the forums: look for interlacing and deinterlacing posts.

Well the link doesn't work since it is a direct link to a file on Angelfire and they block that, but I would assume you are seeing interlace lines, which is perfectly normal for interlaced video captured onto the PC and viewed on a non interlaced monitor.. You can try de-interlacing, or using adobe After Effects to turn off field interpolation. Without seeing the clip, not sure this is what you are seeing tho...

idea....go to File >>> Export Timeline >>>Advanced Windows media ...thats how i do it, gr8 quality everytime.
