Black Video Background removal with Premiere Pro

Hello, i recently downloaded some footage from detonation films's website. It is a video clip of a gunshot blast, with a black background. the site has a tutorial to removing the black background, but it is for premiere 6, not premiere pro. I tried a chroma key but it looks horrible, not as good as the tutorial showed on the site with premiere 6.

Don't use Chroma, use a Difference key.

how do you use the difference key? Do you mean Difference Matte? I got it to kindof work with a track matte key, but it doesnt look that great.

wait, i used a luma key, and it seems to work pretty well. i had never really tryed all the items in the keying sections. the garbage matte key seems to be pretty usefull too. is there any way to do that sort of a mask with more points?

Hmmm, try do Luma and then garbage away the most you can around the edges.

yeah, thats what i figured i needed to do. so what is a difference key supposed to do?

i like to use the screen or lumanence key on their stuff
