When I put a clip into the timeline, hit play or enter (To preview) the video skips in the Preview Window. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this?
My computer specs are:
Intel Celeron 2.6 GHz
512 MB RAM
120 GB HD (If this matters)
I right click the video and select different quality settings. I tried them all, Highest, Draft, and Automatic Quality. It still skips. Any help?

RE: Premiere Pro 1.5 Help
Well, perhaps your processing is a bit slow, or maybe even your video card or hard disc access speed. Celerons aren't the fastest things in the world, and it even sometimes hops on my P4 3.2GHz! Not abnormal. After all, you are previewing large files.

RE: Premiere Pro 1.5 Help
How many processes and other programs do you have open while your working in Premiere? Check to see how many icons are down there by your clock. I have a measly ( well now adays ) 1.8gHz and 512 RAM and my friend says mine is faster than his 3.0gHz with 1GB of RAM. I RARELY have skipping problems playing back video. Make sure your computer doesn't have anything else open that you dont' need. GET RID of those little icons and shut down everythnig and you should be fine. Also run a disk cleanup and disk defragment. That should help as well.
