"Not Alone" - A short film

Post by HetHFilms »

Image

Here´s a small film I made the last weekend. It was mostly improvised with the idea behind it to make a small creepy movie which hopefully scares some of you.

If you can please switch the lights off, turn the volume up and watch it in fullscreen for the best experience.

Not Alone (13 MB, Divx AVI)

I received some very good comments the last days on three different boards which I really did not expect. Alot of people found this movie to be very scary and it shocked them quite well. Others haven´t been shocked at all but still found it entertaining. So as I lurk around here from time to time I though I post it here too and see what you guys think about it.

I hope this is the right forum to post the movie, if not feel free to move it.

Thanks alot for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,
HetH

It´s listed in the credits, three or four tracks from the soundtrack of "Gothika".

Excellent. Enjoyed it a lot. A good short film where not one scene is wasted, or too long - well edited I thought. Good job. A nice use of practicals and the obvious limited space in the room is compensated by cleverly positioned shots.

That was excellent ! It is a refreshing change for a short film in here not to end in the character pulling a handgun out of a desk draw to shoot the intruder.

So simple but very well done.

Excellent little short, good to cut it at the end and leave up the real scary part to our imaginations. That's idealistic for horror.

Thanks a lot guys :)

@chchaisson1 : The guy behind me was a cloning effect. It was just me wearing those dark clothes + hat. I just superimposed a blurry ghost face over my own with some transparancy.

Editing is not well - continuity is broken in many shots. Lighting could be better.

Ending was scary but almost ruined by this sigh (cliche)

nice short and as scary as mainstream horror films (which isn't scary, but seeing as you had little time to build up suspense- excellent.)

a shot that could have been included was a hand held shot through the door looking at the back of your character i.e. through the eyes of the attacker. great scary figure at the end!

I enjoyed it, and I showed it to my sister thats only 1 year younger than me. She turned away real fast and the scary part and said "Patrick! I'm gonna have nightmares!"
