THP, this is one of the worst scripts I have ever seen. Not necessarily because of the story. It isn't bad, well it is history so the story is already there. But more or less because of the formatting and planning.
These shouldn't be in your script. Soldiers walk for approx. 15 seconds is something that should be done rather than told. Film how ever much you need. Don't set a specific limit.tallman_house_pictures wrote:Soldiers walk for app. 15 seconds
Camera cuts to Sgt. Messton unlatching his safety.

Also, the guy was just shot twice. So the squad leader says "Take five" like they're putting up their feet??

Ok well , it's not much, i'm not saying you have to, but I recommend using standard format, it's hard to read like this, for me at least. The story I guess is okay so far, just work on that format. If you need help, you know where to find me on MSN.

Um, the Battle of the Bulge was also the battle that broke the German army's back and basically won the war. s***, I even heard about it when I was like six, how could you not know about it?

You do know about the existance of tanks, right (The millitary kind)
About the script. The dialog is a little robotic. But if you write scripts the way I do, then it is explanable. What I do is I just write the script first. Then, when I'm done with it, I look it over and change the script so that the lines fit with each characters emotion, situation, personality, etc. When I first write it, I worry myself with just getting the point across, then "Beef it Up" later.
And with the way everyone is complaining with the format? In my opinion, if the director can make sence of it, it's good.

yea, that dialogue* was far, far to robotic, it needs emotion, somthing behind what these soldiers are saying. It souinded like they didnt even care about the dude that was shot "is his health worth calling off the patrol" ? Your movie isnt going to be about the entire battle of the buldge, so think of somthing a little more precise for your title.
where do did you get the colts, thompsons ect?
keep working on it. i have been planning a movie along the same story line for more than two years now and im not nearly ready so take your time.
