Having trouble viewing a film
ok actually this is a downloaded tv episode. it is compressed with the xvid codec which i have. i watched the first two episodes with no problems however on the third episode it will play but after the first few frames it freezes but the audio continues. i tried it in windows media player, real player, and divx player and none worked. it works on my friends computer but not mine. i also tried skipping ahead and then starting it but that does not work either. any ideas?

try (In Windows Media Player) going to tools>options>Performance and lowering your video accelleration. THis helped when I had this problem, but when it happened to me, I didn't even get the first few frames, so it might be somethign different.
