Trailer for my new movie!

Post by shawneous »

It's the trailer for an hour long movie that I've been working on since February and I will premiere it in December. Go to www.nelsonentertainment.com for pictures from the set.

Any comments?

I like it! Really nicely shot! Not really very trailer like, bit repettitive showing cheesy couple followed by guns over and over... but definately makes me wanna take a look when it's done

The shot in the church is too sexy 8)

Yeah , it wasn't much of a trailer, more just random clips from the full film. It looks good though, but ornsack, if it's an hour long movie, I wouldn't get my hopes up for downloading it, I can't say I've seen a film over 25 minuites online at a time ever. It does look worth it though.

It's like Connonball Run but without the cars or the race.

Looks actually pretty good, as for uploading the whole film I3lade, my film was online and it was 30 minutes so har-he-har. Anywho, it looks very professional, I'd like to see it. And yes, church shot is sexy beyond all reason.

nice, really good quality, and also some good shots, like the church one, and the beach at the begining

but, is it me, or it has a more "tv show-like" feeling, rather than movie? (i mean a tv quality tv show, not amateur looking)

either way, keep on with the good work!

Thanks guys! That wedding crane shot was a lot of fun to shoot. If you go to my website you can see my DP getting that shot. We stuck a 10ft crane in a balcony which gave it a reach of 20 ft (10up, 10down). He ran the crane while I timed it right with the action. The crane was also used in the opening beach shot. I bought the crane for the production and used it every chance I got. My crew started making fun of me for it, saying I should change my prod name to "Whooping Crane Productions"

whoa, just so the pics, you really got a whole crew back there, camera man, boomstick man, another audio guy, etc, etc, plus some really almost pro stuff, like the camera, lights, crane, etc.

its great you got all those friends willing to help you in those "not glorious or famous" jobs for so much time.

although, in one pic (twocanons.jpg) the guy with red shirts looks hes about to fall asleep! lol

EDIT:

by the way, how much have you spent in this production?, and how much have you spent in all the gear you have?

I had about $25k worth of equipment going into the production and spent about $7k on the production, though about 5 of the 7 was for equipment. Which is nice because I've now got a base of equipment for future projects. My DP, 1st AD and Set Dresser were people I really didn't know prior to the production. They were really cool locals who I found were as into film as I was and were willing to help.

The guy in the picture who's falling asleep is my younger brother. He was one of the forced participants. The advanteges of being in a big family, lots of available cast and crew :-)

Wow! That was awsome! It's amazing how much some movement can add to a project. The crane shots were sweet, and the whole quality of the project looks great. (Acting, lighting, sets/props, etc...) It's also really cool to see someone tackling comedy and romance in an amateur film! Keep up the awsome work! :D

Like everyone else said, AMAZING camera techniques, however I have no clue what the movie is about??? Just a boy, a hot girl, and her dad??? Could be my trip to the supermarket or something? Im sure it has a great plot but with no dialoge how am I to know... But I gotto look into a crane or something, very nice!

Thats what I said in my intial post. The movie LOOKS fantastic, but well, it's not my kind of film. Theres not much of a plot I havn't heard of before, and even if i've heard it before, I really don't like it much.

Thanks for repeating what you said in your original post.

hey the cinematography looks good but as most others have already stated i can't really get a clear idea of what the movie is about. what kind of cam did you shoot it on?
