Blood Splatter on wall with Photoshop

The last photo is just cute!
If anyonw doesn't have a cartoony image to work from, here's a tip:
Get a sheet of white card, and splatter some ink (or paint, or whatever is liquid and slightly glossy). You can also smear some parts for a bloody struggle look if this is what you want.
With it still wet, photograph it. The colour of the substance doesn't matter.
When you import it into PhotoPAINT, use the replace Colour option and highlight a part of the splattered blood, and replace it with a red/brown hue.
Use the wand mask tool to make out the white areas, and you have a masked image ready to use for your blood effect picture like in Grant's tutorial.

I thought that was pretty good, I ussually would use practical effects,but sometimes with the lighting and that, it wont all pick up well on camera, But that indeed is amazing, great for a poster of some sort, or maybe a crime scene photo, were using them (photoshop-altered crime scene images) in our next venture 'within the woods', check out the sledge films to see, its a great effect tho, cheers for the link.
