Hey, Need Help, Need Host Servers

Post by Meade87 »

:?: Hey Everyone, Me and a Friend of mine were thinking of combining our film production groups into one website, [Schismatic Films & Hypnotic Films]. We are looking in to paying a server. We want to post up our movies, trailers, clips etc. & also we have established acting groups that work with us and want to post the actors resumes who work with us. Not to mention add forums and links to sites that help film makers. We went to spread our word, and help others spread theres. So if anyone knows of some good well priced hosts that give a good amount of space for a good price please tell me. I can't post films with a 5mb/max per upload, lol. Please help me out, and if anyone hosts and wants to help us out that would be cool too.

first off, you'de be better going thru "no-ip.com" we got a domain like "xero.zapto.org"....dont waste money on a domain u have to pay for. Theres ways around it. Get a basic site up, like freewebs, inless u have vast knowledge of HTML...(www.xero01.tk) visit that, that will show u, we are soon to convert it into php ....anyway my point is dont go spending money, i was the same way when i started to make films, believe me, there is better stuff out there for free. Just gotta search.

www.no-ip.com (create a web redirect)
www.freewebs.com (hosting service free)

I do not recommend Lycos, cause they suck.

:?: I understand what you are saying, but with any of these free services am I strictly limited to the size per upload? Like (IE) Yahoo!Geocities = 5mb/per upload. If it is somethign this restrictive then how could I possibly post my films, trailers, clips, etc. And how is the bandwidth and overall space?
