WE need help with our film on line,CG & FX & info.
We are making a film on line, you can be in a nother country and still work on this project. We have everything to make the film, we just thought it would be history making to do it with people from all over the world, with todays technology this is posible, we shoot the scenes that someone on line works out we post it someone else adds sound and a nother person adds FX. Now I know what you are thinking, but it works great because we are working as a team, everyone is trying there best to do a great job and hand it off to the next person, and we all talk about it the whole way, just see for your self www.sticktowhatyouknow.com look in CG&FX on our board, the name of the threads are, I am here, and The viewing room. you can see ever piece of the film step by step, we have been geting ready for three years, we just started working with outsiders five monts ago, so we are still learning, we still need a lot of help.

In almost all cases, it's just plain impossible. Uploading to a server, then downloading, or even a direct IP transfer would be tons faster and guarenteed to work. For example AOL cannot upload much more than a dozen meg.

Ok I think it's safe to say I said that wrong, I am not the web person on this project Alex and Jessy are, and they have some way of making it happen. If you have been to the site and read some of the board like the FX & CG stuff they are doing some realy cool things, but we still need a lot of help, there is a gunshot scene where we want to see down the barrel of the gun and see the bullet come out and hit the actor in the chest, and that is where we will use our blood blaster, you can see that on the main site in behind the scenes, if you guys can help us that would be realy great.

I think your trying to use other peoples talent becuase you lack your own for editing, and are just trying to say, Hey it's a great opprtiunity to work with people on the net! I mean, your not paying us, your just draining our time when we could be out working on our own productions.. plus, it's going to be very tedious to send raw footage..
Sigs suck a**.
Mushiman just likes to stir things and get peoples acts together
And you wouldn't need to send that big a file, effects shots rarely reach the 10 second mark in any film. In fact if you have a shot that goes over 1gb then you're a bad editor, lol
From my experience you can fit two and a half minutes of footage in about 600mb

We never said we weren't going to pay.
We are not going to send the raw footage on line, just do playbacks and tests.
It sounds like this project is not for you, we are all ready working with some of the most talented people in this field, but there is room for more, each person brings a new perspective to the table, and it is a lot of fun to see just how good you realy are.

How would you make a gunshot look like the camera is in the barrel of the gun and when it is fired the camera follows the bullet back out and turns around and too the target. I am just thinking of how we could film it and get it right so it can be used by someone eles, we have a greenscrean, and can take high grade stills if we had to, and we thought of using a life cast of the actors hand and doing like a time laps, and then let others take it from there. like you said most realy good FX shots are realy fast, I just don't want it to look like a nother Matrix job, see that is what is so fun about this project, you have the fredom to make what ever you want, and we will post it and let every one deside what to do.Ornsack wrote:Yes lets not forget about trusty old fashioned methods!

We have some top notch people, but there are so many difrent shots to choose from, wouldent it be great to have a 100 defrent people talking about it and working together on it, I've been on this project for three years and nothing will get me down about it, we are the kind of people who think the glass is half full all the time so if I sound enthusiastic I am.I3lade203 wrote:I see well, I wouldn't mind helping out but it seems kind of strange. This is a test clip to see if braininabox can use this type of shot, he wants to add a hell like place in the mirror, I think you have to know a bit to be able to track, this type of shot and make something from it, we used SONY vegas and magic bullit just messin' around with colores, but still it will be tough to work in the mirror, when we give him the real shot.I3lade203 wrote:I see well, I wouldn't mind helping out but it seems kind of strange. Here is our first clip put together by people from all over, an 18 year old guy from up north made the sound track and we shot it here, and a nother guy from CA told us what to do to it and how. You have to understand I paint airplanes for a living and my crew here are students and so is the guy who sent the music, the only person that knows realy how to do this is in CA. here goes.

Well what did you think?I3lade203 wrote:It's not you to judge weather it's boring or not.. he just wants it edited.
You should throw away those fadings. Fade to black is a way to finish a SCENE or SEQUENCE. If you must - use cross dissolving.
This scene is a bit too long. She's cleanig off the blood and... nothing changes. There's no close-ups. If you want to add some tension you need to use more camera angles. This kind of shot should lasts max 3-4 seconds. It's pure information: "one chick cleans off the the other chick" that's all.

Ya but she just got the cr** beet out of her and Monique is cleaning her up, so it could take 20mins for that so how would that be 4-5 sec, we want to get them together so you can see a friendshif start, I think in the movie this scene will be more like 60sec to work. And we used black to make it more dramatic.santi wrote:You should throw away those fadings. Fade to black is a way to finish a SCENE or SEQUENCE. If you must - use cross dissolving.
