Repeating message in xp home

Post by pan-modo_pictures »

Just recently everytime I click on the start menu it says "new programs installed" every single time I click on it. Im not quite sure what the problem is, and the programs were not installed recently. Does anyone know what to do, I was thinking it was something stuck in the processes menu?

No, it's not spyware since I am not even connected to the interent on that computer, and I checked it with cwshredder, and spybot anyways.

Sometimes it does that if you have a hardware attached but have not installed any operating software to properly recognize it. Other than then I'm stumped. Could just be a flaw in the system's history and redundantly thinks you've just installed something.

Well, I tried uninstalling the programs, and that seemedd to work, but then I went to install another program, and now that it's repeating again. I also noticed a short while back, my clock was wrong for some strange reason. I will try some more things, but this has got me stumped too.
