Blowback pistols
Does anyone know if the Electric ones look as good as the Gas operated? Maybe they don't shoot as far, but I don't care about that... I just need the slide to work and look as cool...

They are much slower in operation, they sort of lazily rack backward then forwards, not very realistic. If you sped up your footage a bit it might work. Thing is, you can buy a cheap gas blowback for about the same price as a good EBB.
Edit: And NaziSentry's post was in regards to the fact that he can't buy airsoft guns in Australia. He's sad.

I would love to have blank pistols. But a prerequisate of having blank guns is getting a steady paycheck, which I fail at right now. Other than minor monetary setbacks, and a lack of knowledge of where to buy blank guns, I don't think I'll have any in the forseeable future.

I myself, would rather use blanks than airsoft guns. (But I'm not 18 yet ) And bad_karma24, you only need to do a lot of paper work and get a armoror if the guns are real. The blank guns that are being disscussed here arn't real, you just got to be a certain age to purchese them. (18 or 21, depends on location) Also, blanks arn't safe. But they can be safe if you don't screw around with them. The pro film makers use creative camera angles to make it look like your firing the gun at the person, when they're not. Another thing about blank guns is they're too loud. I've never acually seen one fire live, but I would believe they are close to sound of a firecracker exploding 4-5 feet away from you. (Really loud) This would also attract the police, so you would have to still let them know that you'll be firing them. Just 4 more years and I can get a blank firing gun.

Thanks tips. I know that, I was suggesting airsoft guns are good for shooting unruly actors. Brandon Lee died due to a mistake in the handling of a blank round, they're not completly safe.Blank guns don't shoot anything, thats why it's a blank.

I've been looking around for the foward-firing models, I've found some, but it's gonna be a b**ch clearing them through US Customs. It'll probably take 2-3 weeks. But at least I'd get a real muzzle flash out the front of the barrel and not the top. Just 4 more years.
Here's a video of a blank firing 8mm Desert Eagle. See how the flashes come out the top of the barrel? That a total let down. But again, you got to find the forward-firing models so the flash come out of the front of the barrel. Right Click, Save as.
